Preserving Our Shared Experience

We are a community-based organization focused on preserving the closely intertwined history of both the Wing Point Community and the Wing Point Golf & Country Club on Bainbridge Island, WA.

With the help of current and past residents, volunteers, and friends in the larger community, we plan to create and publish a visually beautiful book that will serve both as a keepsake and as an accurate historical record for future generations.

Our book will provide a permanent account of 125+ years of Wing Point history, creating a "sense of place" for Wing Point and aligning and contextualizing its history with that of our island, our region, and the Pacific Northwest as a whole.

We will combine first-person narratives, with photos, maps and historical academic research (including full and proper citation of sources), secure in the knowledge that this chronicle will enhance community spirit, community relationships, and the understanding of our shared roots.
